With all the success we've had here they're going to rename this race  Bloomfield Hills Lahser 271
the Pioneers Invitational!!!  Three years in a row we've been able to run Sturgis 292
well with the competition and take the top spot.  We had some good Williamston 310
teams challenge us and came away with a 20 point victory.   "What does Sault Ste. Marie 340
this mean?"  Well, it means we're right where we want to be at this point in  Mattawan 346
the season!!!  On course to start some speedwork and gear up for the  Portland 431
next challenge for our team Battle Creek Central 457
Our first mile that we ran was right on target.  Keep up this strategy for the remainder of the season.  It puts you in the race
early and allows you a chance to compete.  It's a very scary feeling at first, but you girls are now ready to fight through the
race.  It will help push you to reach our personal and team goals in October.  As we continue to race this way it will get
easier and you will see results.
Nikki and Raeanne are right where they were last year, Erin is way ahead, Kristina had her best race of the season, Jenny
is knocking on the door of 19's, Tessa had her best race yet, and Ellie was very close to a PR.  With all of these positive
results happening combined with our great results at Lowell -- WE'RE IN A GREAT POSITION!!!  Now add in the
fact that we're just starting our speedwork makes for an exciting time to be on the East Grand Rapids Girls
Cross Country Team!!!
Get ready for a new phase in the season.  Some cool weather, fast workouts, and very competitive meets will face us
going into the month of October.  We have Johnson Park and Carson City this week, two great courses that
we'll continue our push to improving as a team!!!
