Some seriously tough conditions to run in.  The heat was just an energy-drainer for some of the runners.  But, you girls
did a very nice job of fighting through the weather.  Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your feelings, that was our last
time running at Johnson Park this year.  A true cross country course that gives you a little bit of everything.
We pushed our conference record to 4-0!!  We're right on track to reach one of our first goals we reached during the season.
We only have two more dual meets until the conference meet at Lowell on October 21st.  Which means we need to really
enjoy our final two weeks as an entire team together.  Cherish and enjoy this time together!!!
PORTAGE! PORTAGE! PORTAGE! PORTAGE! PORTAGE! PORTAGE! PORTAGE! PORTAGE! PORTAGE! PORTAGE!
A great inviational is awaiting our team this Saturday.  Cooler temperatures are on tap, along with a cool course.  We have
an opportunity to see exactly where we're at this Saturday with 10 of the 12 top D2 teams in our race.  Our speedwork is
starting to kick in and you'll see some results soon when you race!!  We're gearing up for the fun time of year where all the
time and energy we put in will pay off!!!   We sent a little message last week at Carson City, so let's continue and have a
smart, all-out effort that will put some fear in those "pretenders."  OCTOBER IS OUR MONTH TO SHINE!
